Database Update: Expanded Attorney Information and Venue Verdicts

Released: April 11, 2025

We’ve made several key enhancements to the attorney and verdict data in our platform to improve accuracy, context, and visibility in the UI.

Expanded Law Firm Coverage for Attorneys

We’ve added law firm affiliations for over 100,000 attorneys in our database. This update enables users to see the law firm associated with each attorney directly in the UI, providing clearer context when researching attorneys.

Venue Data Added for 8,500+ Verdicts

We’ve enriched our verdict dataset by adding venue information to approximately 8,500 records. These verdicts can now be displayed on the Venue tab and included in venue-based insights across the platform.

Cross-State Attorney Identity Resolution

Attorneys who practice in multiple states now appear as unified profiles, allowing for a more complete view of their case history. This update merges results under a single identity, showing full verdict and docket history regardless of jurisdiction. This is the first phase of our cross-state resolution initiative, with more enhancements to come as we expand our identity-matching capabilities.

The bar number section includes all bar numbers we found for the attorney in publicly available records, across the states where they are formally admitted. However, the attorney’s track record—which includes filings and verdicts—is drawn from all states where data is available, not just the states where the attorney holds a listed bar number. This is because attorneys can be granted permission to practice in other states on a case-by-case basis through pro hac vice admission. So, even if a bar number is not listed for a particular state, the attorney may still have activity there under such permissions.

As always, feel free to reach out to our team if you have questions or feedback about these updates.
